Hollywood has a rich history of creating and distributing entertaining, thought-provoking, heart-touching content: from classic films in the 1930’s — to romantic comedies in the 80’s, to the superhero classics of today, Hollywood is the sole creator and cause of existence for these pieces of art.

Hollywood has been at the forefront of the most important America art form: cinema — and it’s with great pride that we celebrate a man whose family (and who himself) has been an integral part of the legacy of film and celebrity philanthropic behavior — David Mirisch.

For more than five decades, David Mirisch has brought Hollywood celebrities and famous athletes together with hundreds of non-profit organizations, helping to raise more than $35 million for worthy causes.

On July 14th, the Museum of Ventura County (100 E. Main Street, Ventura, California 93001) is going to begin featuring an exhibit of Mirisch’s work, his scrapbooks, and other memorabilia. The exhibit launch event will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The exhibition and VIP reception will feature:

  • Scrapbooks, photographs, plaques, awards from David’s career
  • Speeches by several of David’s celebrity friends
  • Hors-d’oeuvres and refreshments; no-host bar
  • Guest of Honor David Mirisch

The exhibition will be on view from July 14 through August 18.
